Default Stevie in the Mirage Video

How come Stevie just ups and disappears during the concert and then just appears again. I never noticed it till the other day.

Maybe they took different cuts from the different parts and put them together (If that makes any sense...) I noticed in Live in Boston during Beautiful Child, the camera will be on her one minute and her hair is infront of her shoulders, and then the camera will go back to her and her hair is behind her shoulders...I don't get it!

Well, in the Mirage video, the songs were not in the order they actually were in the set. Still, she disappeared a lot during the concert. She did it twice on the SYW tour (Come and Big Love). I guess it is just something that she does. She really doesn't play an instrument, and with NTF, it is pretty useless for her to prance on stage.

Judging by the time period, I'd bet on the latter.

Live In Boston was recorded over two nights. One night in front of about 1,000 invited guests... then other night for a real (full arena) concert. So images, closeups can have slight changes. Same with in The Dance. If you notice in some shots she's holding a tamborine with white streamers... the next shot, the streamers are all black. I'm convinced the difference in streamer colours hanging from the tamborine were to seperate one recorded show from the other, since the audience would be the same size and they all wore the same thing. Call it strategic placement.

"I want a toot. This is important."

"I want a toot now."

"Well...no...obviously nobody's gonna come out here and get it for me. So I'll just have to walk in there and get it..."

In those days, Stevie walked offstage a lot.

They did that. For example, "Rhiannon" is from the first night (of two). "You Make Loving Fun" has shots in it from both nights.

Interesting. I'd always heard that there was a problem with the recording of Rhiannon and they'd had to do the song again at the end of the setlist. Thus she looks recently groomed, but also a bit more tired than during the rest of the show. Oh well, I guess I learned something new today.

You're kidding?! That definitely did not happen. In fact, the cameras were very unobtrusive -- nobody was paying much attention to them, or even noticed them. The band played its set both nights straight through, just like any concert.

I saw the filming of Stevie's first tour, too. Smaller stage & so it had a little bit more of that "being filmed" atmosphere. But the Fleetwood Mac shows at the Forum were just ordinary concerts. Honestly, I can't even remember the cameras. It was filmed on video & all from the floor or the stage, so maybe the video cams were small. Pretty low tech, I would say . . . & it looks it, too.

I'm pretty sure that's what happened for the recording of The Dance, not for the Mirage video. Could be completely off-base there, though.

She had problems with Dreams during The Dance, but I dunno about Rhiannon.
