Soundstage?

Hey LB fans. I just bought the new Tom Petty soundstage DVD. The insert stated that the upcoming releases included "Lindsey Buckingham featuring Stevie Nicks." Any ideas on the release date for this?

I just attended the Heart PBS Soundstage taping in Chicago last week and received an flier that season three starts airing after June 30...so hopefully we'll get to see Lindsey in season three this summer!

That's cool to hear!! Since Lindsey said he hoped to have the album out before the end of this year, Soundstage should be out in connection with the album release, I would think. Wish we had a percentage of album complete or something. LOL

Come on Lindsey!!!! We can't wait!!!!!

wow, can't wait 4 this!!!

~ how was the petty soundstage? LUV, LUV, LUV him, they replayed his storytellers on vh1classic last saturday & i had 4gotten how wonderful it was!!!~

I was checking out the Petty one tonight, but didn't buy it...yet. I can not wait for Lindsey's to come out!

Yes so I am I since autumn 2003 when it was recorded. I guess my excitement hasn`t managed to stay on that level since then. I don`t take any release dates accurate concerning LB (including TV appearances). The soundstage thing is probably supposed to be shown together with the release of his new album. But I doubt that the Soundstage shows will still be there at all the year the new LB album comes out (if it ever will). Personally I will be surprised if the LB soundstage show will air at all. Sorry for acid pissing (copyright Gerald), it's just my experience over the years, which provided me that "confidence".

On the subject of Petty's Soundstage...

I have been a nearly lifelong Petty-head but I was a little disappointed with this performance. About half the set consisted of covers and while the music itself was wonderful, I'd rather have this one on CD than DVD. The band sounds great, but when I watch a live performance (especially when it's something I've paid to see), I need some visual stimulation as well-- not just a bunch of middle-aged musicians standing still.
I had seen the band in concert a few years ago, when they toured for Anthology, and they sounded great and Tom was dancing around and basically acting goofy (and nearly fell on his a$$ in the process).

That's all I'm asking for-- I don't need pyrotechnics or anything, just something to watch. (Maybe I'm just weird)

Other than that, the performance was great.

I enjoyed the Tom Petty DVD a great deal. It was a little "slower" as far as the set list goes. Heck, it starts off with "Crawling Back to You" as one of the first songs. Which is a really great song, but a slow one.

At any rate, I am dying for this Buckingham/Soundstage thing. BUT...seeing as how no news has come out as far as a release date for his new album I'm skeptical. I don't forsee him releasing anything anytime soon.
