Default Bekka at Bluebird (Nashville)

Oh. My.! UN-FRICKIN' BELIEVABLE!!
Seriously, y'all gotta see Bekka live if you ever get the op. Tonight was an acoustic show.... for those of you not familiar with the infamous Bluebird Cafe... this was the early show with four female singer/songwriters taking turns in the round. Bekka (and I'm kinda not just saying this but also wildly bias) had the entire place in awe when it would be her turn to perform. If you're familiar with her solo cd, she did "One" and "Used"..... fab-u-lous!

No doubt she owned the place, not only through her performance but she was definitely the life of the party. That's a great thing about Bekka's shows, like she says, it's like we're all sitting around the living room just having a great time.

I talked with her for quite awhile after and got her to sign my "Time" poster (with the pics from inside the sleeve). She is so cool... totally uninhibited by any "celebrity" but at the same time a true professional. She also has a great character and sense of humor.
No wonder "Time" is becoming one of my very fave Mac discs (granted... they each stand alone for me IMHO). Like I said before, it's a shame she kinda got the "Stevie-replacement" tag because she is SO Not-Stevie!! (Same for the Billy / Lindsey thing). Bekka is an amazing talent in her own right in so many ways. Her songwriting is as blessed as her singing. Definitely the best kept secret in music.... especially in this town.

I am so jealous, Jill.

And she played "One"???? That's my absolute favorite from her solo album.
Big thumbs up on the Time love, btw. That IS my favorite Fleetwood Mac album, closely followed by Behind the Mask.

I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that we'll get a follow up to What's In It For Me, or better yet, Bekka and Billy II.
