Favorite vocal?
What are your favorite songs in terms of vocals?
FM: You and I, part I - The high "you and I" is awesome, I love that! Monday Morning - He's sounds so sexy! Big Love - Sexy on this one too. Tango in the Night - Whispy vocals during the verses, then, that sexy voice during the chorus. Oh man. Down Endless Street - It's a unique vocal...very choppy and cool. I don't think many people like this song. WMYTYTO - Wierdest Tusk vocal...and I love it! Red Rover - "and the lips you were kissin'....night after night..." Oh man, hits like a shot in the heart. Solo: Bwana - Wierdest Law and Order vocal...and I love it! Time Bomb Town - Wierdness personified. I hated this song as a kid because he sounded wierd to me. I also thought he was Hispanic as a kid, for some odd reason. Now, one of my fave songs. Holiday Road - His deep, Elvis-influenced type of voice...gotta love it. You Do or You Don't - He does this wierd breathing while singing thing. Wierd...also, the ending with Theme from A Summer Place...classic. Street of Dreams - Emotion at it's highest from Lindsey. Don't Look Down - The harsh vocal of yelling "Don't look down!" along with the soft vocal on the verses....greatness. Someone's Gotta Change Your Mind - The ending is insanely great. GOS - Insane laughing...awesome. Tusk wierdness proportions. LOL Shadow of the West - I can't even explain his wierd vocal. His voice is extremely deep throughout the song. Love the harmonies with himself and Christine. Shuffle Riff - Just for the way he says tarantula. She Smiled Sweetly - Whispery vocals...always nice. Fritz: Louisa Joy - My fave of the Fritz songs. His voice is high, powerful and awesome! As for the bgv's: Little Lies - "tell me, tell me lies..." Greatness! Beautiful Child - That ooh, ooh, ooh.....KILL ME NOW!! LOL Isn't It Midnight - "face of a pretty girl".....yeah.

Monday Morning - fave all time Lindsey/FM song
Don't Look Down - just for the fact that the first time I ever listened to it, I had it on full blast and it scared me

I like the TITN era Lindsey voice the most. I think he was in his prime then regarding the singing.
Christy, I bought the Family man single back then just to get Down endless street. The song sounds cheap due to the cheap synth sound production but it has great potential. He used this cheap synth sound for a couple of song during that era (f.e. Family man or Soul drifter, which is no wonder as he has stated that he wrote that one during the making of Tango) However I like his singing on Down endless street. I am unable to select a favourite song so I picked an era.

"Tusk" from the Dance - omg his voice is so low (a real change for him) and has a certain ominous sound to it that is both scarey and sexy as hell. "(I Won't Be) Too Young" his duet with Walter Egan on the Malibooz Rule lp - if for no other reason than the way he sounds when he sings the line "just like a spring I'm wound up too tight." Omg. I love it! Last edited by Miss Vicky; 02-12-2005 at 09:37 PM.. |

"HER voice"? Uhm, Jason... are you sure you're in the right thread/forum? Gosh, I have SO many favorite Lindsey vocals, and most of the ones I would have named, have been listed already anyway. But I'll add the 'Live In Boston' version of "Tusk,' simply because that maniacal laugh of his at 1:25 into the song is to die for.
